Reading is for nerds! I’ve got better things to do. I don’t need to learn from a book!

So, why do we read? 

“A smart man makes a mistake, learns from it, and never makes that mistake again. But a wise man finds a smart man and learns from him how to avoid the mistake altogether.”

That’s right, we read so that we don’t make the same mistakes that those before us have made. This applies to most things, but those in sales, marketing, customer service and business can really learn a thing or two from reading relevant books.
